With it's location along Thailand's Eastern Seaboard, travelling overland to Koh Chang you will need to pass through Bangkok.

There are also regular bus and mini-van transfers from neighbouring Pattaya, Jomtien and Rayong.

Boat services to Koh Chang depart from Laem Ngop on the main land (in Trat Province). The crossing takes 45-60 mins.

Trat Province has a small domestic airport with direct flights from Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket.

BY AIR
Trat Provincial Airport has regular domestic flights from Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket. Bangkok Airways covers all the above routes.

BY TRAIN
The eastern rail link, departing from Hualumpong Station in Bangkok:

.Pattaya

*Note: There is no direct rail link to Trat Province. Coming from Bangkok you will need to catch a connecting bus from Pattaya.

BY BUS
From Bangkok, all Eastern bus routes depart from the Eastern Bus Terminal ("Morchit") and have direct routes to all major destinations along the Eastern Seaboard.
