Ferries for Koh Samet depart from the small town of Ban Phe, about 220km east of Bangkok in Rayong Province.

The crossing to Koh Samet takes just 40 mins.

Regular buses go from Bangkok, Pattaya and Rayong Town to the pier Ban Phe and most ticket agencies will offer a joint bus/boat ticket.

BY TRAIN
The eastern rail link, departing from Hualumpong Station in Bangkok:

BANGKOK (Hualumpong Station)

.Pattaya (For Rayong / Koh Samet)

*Note: There is no direct rail link to Rayong Province. Coming from Bangkok you will need to catch a connecting bus from Pattaya.

BY BUS
From Bangkok, all Eastern bus routes depart from the Eastern Bus Terminal ("Morchit") and have direct routes to all major destinations along the Eastern Seaboard.
